Roding is a process that strengthens the narrow area of granite and marble that surrounds the sink and stovetop in your kitchen. This area typically in the front and in the back of the sink and cook-top sometimes can be 3" to 4" in depth. Due to the narrowness of the stone there is a high possibility of cracking in this area. Drilling into the granite and submerging metal rods in the stone strengthens this area against cracking. Also by submerging the rods in the granite, there is no interference when installing the countertop to the cabinets.

Many companies charge $195.00 per set of rods. For kitchens needing two sets of rods, the cost would add up to an additional $390.00.

At Artistic Granite, we do not charge for Roding! Roding is free and part of Artistic Granite's everyday special price saving for our clients.
